Autumn Color Season Palette Makeup Ideas

The Autumn Color Season is defined by being Warm, Soft and Dark.

That means that Autumns will look best in warmer colors (marigolds, oranges and brick reds), softer colors (muted and not too bright) and dark colors (so dark rust over light orange).

Within the Autumn Palette you can be a Warm Autumn if the warm element is most important (so you can tolerate a bit of bright color and a bit of light color so long as it’s warm).

You can be Soft Autumn if the soft element is most important (so you can tolerate a bit of cool colors or a bit of light color so long as they remain soft.)

Finally, you can be Dark Autumn if the dark element is most important (so you can tolerate a bit of cool colors and a bit of bright colors so long as they are dark!)

Now that we have that covered, let’s check out how that translates to MAKEUP

Autumn Palette Makeup Looks

For the Autumn girls we want to keep it soft, and medium dark.

Dramatic looks can look great especially on bright and warm springs with a coral lip, or teal eyeliner. For every day, a warm pink lip and peach blush looks lovely!

Lips

Look for key words like : terracotta, burnt (red/orange/brown), brick (red, brown etc). For nudes you may want to go for the medium (deeper version) or intense. shades can vary from neutral to more warm. Warmer nudes will look a bit more orange, vs the neutral will be a touch cooler.

Depending on what type of undertone you have, one may look better than another!

Eyes

Less is more for autumns. You can do smokey brown eyes, champagnes and keep it warm with gold tones.

Cheeks

Stick with peach, bronze and other warm brown looks.
